Keystone Heights High School won a boys golf match on Sept. 11 at Green Cove Springs’ Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club, with Will Begue placing first individually with a score of 38.
The Indians finished with a team score of 174 to place ahead of Mandarin (176) and St. Johns Classical (215).
Begue had a birdie and made par on six holes as he finished two strokes ahead of Mandarin’s Beckett Brown.
Nate Bardier, who made par on four holes, finished in a two-way tie for fourth with a score of 43.
Sammy Wacha and Jackson McDaniel were sixth and seventh, respectively, with scores of 46 and 47. McDaniel made par on four holes, while Wacha made par on three.
Landon Spence and Luke Lewis each made par on one hole, with Spence shooting a ninth-place score of 49 and Lewis shooting a 10th-place score of 52.
Keystone plays P.K. Yonge on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 3:30 p.m. at Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida.
