STARKE— Starke police arrested a 67-year-old man after they said he attacked a 34-year-old Lawtey woman at a Starke self-storage facility.

Alvin Jerome Fayson was arrested for assault, battery and false imprisonment on Monday, March 13.

According to court papers the incident occurred on Saturday, March 12 at Allen’s Attic on Water Street.

The victim said she drove to the facility to put her toolbox in a storage unit and was approached by the defendant who offered her $500 in exchange for sex.

The victim told officers the defendant resides in one of the storage units. She said she has spoken to the defendant before and has given him food.

The victim told officers that after she declined the $500 offer and then refused to drive the man to a convenience store down the street, the defendant struck her in the mouth with a closed fist, busting her lip and damaging her teeth.

The woman then drove the man to the store. Fayson took the woman’s keys with him into the building, preventing her from leaving and then after returning to the vehicle, attacked the woman again for around 15 minutes, striking her, choking her and threatening to kill her.
