A Bradford County man was arrested after Starke police said he stole a case of Brand 99 liquor from a Starke liquor store.
Kelvin Hamm Sr., 59, was arrested on Aug. 26 for the Feb. 23 offense of petit theft. According to an arrest report, the owner of S & M Discount Beverage on Brownlee Street saw the defendant take the alcohol while it was resting on top of the store’s ice cream case. The owner then witnessed the man walk away with the merchandise.
Police later viewed video of the theft, and the owner picked the defendant out in a photo lineup. The retail value of the merchandise was $120.
