Bradford High School’s Charlie Zink placed first as the Tornadoes defeated visiting Keystone Heights in boys golf on Oct. 2.
The Tornadoes had a team score of 168 to the Indians’ 182.
Zink made par on seven holes to finish with a score of 38. He was four strokes ahead of teammate Avery Burgin, who had a birdie and made par on three holes in shooting a second-place score of 42.
Bradford’s Steven Carter and Keystone’s Baylor Ford tied for third. Each made par on four holes to finish with a score of 43.
The Indians’ Landon Spence, who made par on three holes, shot a fifth-place score of 44, while the Tornadoes’ Patrick Pendarvis, who made par on two holes, shot a sixth-place score of 45.
Bradford’s Tucker Griffis and Keystone’s Sammy Wacha each shot a 47 to tie for seventh. Each made par on two holes.
Keystone teammates Will Begue and Jackson McDaniel each had a score of 48 to tie for ninth. Begue made par on two holes, while McDaniel made par on one.
The Tornadoes’ Mason Stone and the Indians’ Nate Bardier finished 11th and 12th, respectively, with scores of 49 and 51. Stone made par on two holes, while Bardier made par on one.
Bradford entered the match off a pair of second-place finishes on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30.
The Tornadoes played Trinity Christian in Jacksonville on Sept. 29, finishing with a team score of 185, which left them trailing the Conquerors by five strokes.
Carter, who made par on four holes, shot a 42 to tie for second with Trinity’s Brennan Bachtell. The duo finished one stroke behind medalist Zachary Hidalgo of Trinity.
Griffis, who made par on one hole, had a score of 47 to finish in a two-way tie for fourth.
Burgin and Pendarvis each shot a 48 to tie for sixth. Burgin made par on one hole.
Zink, who made par on two holes, had an eighth-place score of 49, while Stone, who made par on two holes, shot a 50 to finish in a two-way tie for ninth.
On Sept. 30, Bradford hosted Middleburg and Trinity Christian. Middleburg won the match with a score of 155, while Bradford and Trinity had scores of 159 and 167, respectively.
Zink, who made par on seven holes, had a score of 38 to tie for second with Middleburg’s Logan Wahlstrom. The duo finished two strokes behind medalist Colton Taylor of Middleburg.
Carter and Griffis each shot a 40 to tie for sixth. Carter made par on six holes, while Griffis made par on five.
Burgin had a score of 41 to finish in a two-way tie for eighth. He had a birdie and made par on four holes.
Pendarvis, who made par on five holes, finished in a three-way tie for 10th with a score of 42.
Stone made par on three holes and shot a 15th-place score of 48.
