Keystone Heights’ Freedom 5K returns on July 4, with the race beginning at 8 a.m. in front of city hall at 555 S. Lawrence Blvd.
The top three male and female finishers will receive awards, as will the top male and female in the 9-and-under, 10-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and over-70 age divisions. Awards will also go to the top runners in the wheelchair division.
Medals will be presented to the first 400 to cross the finish line.
The cost to register through July 3 is $35 and $45 the day of the race. Parking is available at Community Church at 345 S.E. Palmetto Ave., which is a two-block walk from start. Please don’t park along Lawrence Boulevard.
Proceeds will benefit the Jordan Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund, an all-volunteer non-profit organization that gives scholarships to Keystone Heights High School graduating seniors. For more information visit www.jordancooperscholarship.org.
