Keystone Heights’s newest city councilman took the oath of office in a minute-and-a-half swearing-in ceremony on November 1.

Dan Lewandowski is serving the remaining term of Bobby Brown, who resigned from the council in October for health reasons.

Lewandowski, a retired Air Force Colonel and former Keystone Heights charter review committee member, teaches at Q.I. Roberts Junior-Senior High School in Putnam County, where he has taught math, chemistry, physics, engineering, and aerospace studies. He served on the city council from 2015 to 2018 and is a native of Marin County, California. His current term on the council runs through April 2024.
